Facts About the United Pentecostal Foundation

The United Pentecostal Foundation was incorporated in the state of Missouri on October 17, 2003, under charter number N00547299. The United Pentecostal Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Missouri as a Supporting Organization within the meaning of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States for the benefit of the United Pentecostal Church International, a pro forma decree corporation organized under the laws of the State of Missouri and being a publicly supported organization. Its principal address is 8855 Dunn Road, Hazelwood, Missouri 63042.

The United Pentecostal Foundation has been established to encourage, promote, facilitate, and motivate the making and granting of gifts, donations, bequests, and devises by deed, conveyance, will, trust, or otherwise and to provide for the receipt, administration, management, and investment of assets so given, bequeathed, devised, or otherwise transferred, including but not limited to endowments, and to distribute earnings realized therefrom for the benefit, support, promotion, expansion, and extension of the ministries, works, causes, objects, programs, and publishing functions of the United Pentecostal Church International and its affiliated divisions, departments, agencies, boards, commissions, libraries, historical center, and publications.

The United Pentecostal Foundation received IRS approval on February 7, 2005, as a 509(a)(3) public charity and is a tax exempt supporting organization as described in sections 501 (c)(3), 509(a)(3), and 170 of Internal Revenue Code of 1987.

The Board of Directors is comprised of twelve members. The General Superintendent of the UPCI serves as chairman, the General Secretary of the UPCI serves as secretary/treasurer, and the Director of Stewardship serves as president. There are four additional positions ofGeneral Board members, two additional licensed UPCI ministers, and three professionals from local UPCI assemblies.
