The United Pentecostal Foundation is excited to announce the recent establishment of the Audrene Scism Memorial Fund. This is a fund has been established by the family of Audrene Scism in her memory from contributions from friends and family. While just a little girl attending the Pentecostal Church in Rupert, Idaho, Audrene Hruza felt a great interest in missionary work. Her complete dedication to the Lord, gave her an intense desire to make a difference in the lives of people. After completing her Bible College education at Conquerors Bible College, Audrene and Harry Scism were united in marriage in Bend, Oregon, in 1956. That same year they went to India, where Audrene was soon involved in teaching at the Bible School in Adur, Travancore. From this very beginning she not only felt a tremendous joy in the teaching and training ministry, but she took special interest in each student. Even as she loved her students, they loved her. Audrene gave many years in Bible College work in India. She and her husband eventually established Calvary Bible Institute for the training of tribal students from N.E. India. Many of our leaders today sat in her classes. She was so loved that after her death in 1989 the news of her death was broadcast on the radio and printed in newspapers in N.E. India. Large posters of Audrene in tribal dress were placed in many public buildings. A Childrens Home was eventually established in N.E. India in memory of this lovable and dedicated child of God. Gifts from fund will be used annually for scholarships, training and literature for projects that were close to her heart. Additional donations/contributions can be made:
